Relationships with Others

Relationships are important for good emotional health. Numerous studies have shown that people who have close friends and intimate relationships are healthier, happier, and live longer. In fact, the simple act of petting a dog, holding a child, or seeing someone you love causes a decrease in stress hormones in the blood, decreases blood pressure, and calms the mind. So, if you want to be healthy, stay connected to others.

As the author Dr. Tedd Koren says "Emotional health is also dependent on being connected - to yourself and others. The more connected you are to yourself the more you can connect with others and the more fulfilling your connections (relationships). The more relationships in your life the more happiness, joy, hope, optimism and vitality you will have; the healthier and longer you will live and the quicker you will recover from physical and emotional traumas and illness."

Testimonials

Reviews By Our Satisfied Patients

  • "I was not healthy for a 23 year old. I was in constant pain and depression as a result. I was most impressed by the kind and caring staff because I didn't want my healthcare provider looking at me as just another patient."
  • "With maintenance I seem to stay pain free."
  • "I was suffering from just literally aching all over. Previously, I woke every morning to neck pain and that is no longer the case. I have definitely noticed a marked improvement in my overall physical health."
  • "When I started coming to the Chiropractic Health Center, I was taking pain medication to sleep at night, and pain medication to work during the day. I was experiencing headaches at least four out of seven days a week. I cannot believe the improvements I have felt in such a short time. I have more energy than I have had in almost two years. I wish I had come to this office before now."
